Children

Four days. Five families. Six jobs. That was my weekend and you know what? I loved every second of it. Was I tested? Absolutely. In every single aspect, my patience, humility, judgment, honesty, the love that I have for children. It was absolutely incredible and I enjoyed it, but it sure tired me out. Did it make me sick of children? Not at all. I love them more than words can say. God tested me this weekend and I almost thought I was in over my head, but you know what? I wasn't. I was fine. I put all the children to sleep, and none of them got injured while I was there. Most of them listened, no time outs were needed, thankfully. They didn't fight me. They wanted me to stay longer. God uses us in so many different ways, with our different talents. When I get older, I'm considering having a family bigger than four children. I love that they're rewards from the Lord (Psalm 127:3). I love that there is more than one way to be blessed with a child, through adopting or foster care. I want these children to be taken care of. I want to be that difference. It won't be easy, but it will be a journey, where I can feel rewarded by God everyday.
