Contentment

Disclaimer: This post is mostly for me to remember, where I am and where I was in life when I look back.

Last week, I had some girlfriends over, and they were all talking about how they wished they had a boyfriend or knew what the experience was like. It was six of us, together, close friends since high school and we all have a huge heart for the Lord.

But, as they were talking about it and I was contently observing and listening, I was thinking, how much would I want this for myself? And I realized, that even though I have grown in these thoughts, of how I would like to get married and have children, right now, I am *almost* completely content. I have children I get to work with. I have a God who loves me and made me just the way He wanted me to be.

Until I grow in Him, will He may allow me and bless me with a treasure like a boyfriend, someone who cherishes me, just as my God does, but a man who favors the Lord and wants to grow with me. I want someone who realizes that I have a fiery passion for Him and all the work I do, the words out of my mouth, the prayers, the hard work, is all for the Lord. I am doing what God has told me to do, He has put me on this earth to be a disciple and spread His word. And if the Lord chooses to bless me with a husband, then I am blessed beyond measure.

I have a God who gives me what I don't deserve, and doesn't give me what I do deserve. Wow, those words, every time I read them, give me chills. I have a roof over my head, friends who love Jesus, and love me, a household filled with love, parents who love the Lord, a sister, who loves the Lord, and most of all, I have a God who loves.

So, whether or not, a man enters my life, and we want to spend forever together, it is all in God's hands, and it's all part of His plans.

I need to remember not to take anything or anyone for granted.

Happy Saturday!
